SERVICES: 2:00 PM Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Taylor, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Nenstiel was born March 25, 1916 in Riley County, Kansas and graduated from Clay Center, Kansas High School in 1934. He served in the U. S. Army from February, 1941 through November, 1945. On July 31, 1943, he married Clara Marie Roth in Clay Center. Donald and Clara moved to Pampa in 1946 where he worked for Nenstiel and Doggett Accounting Firm until his retirement. He worked for his brother, Harvey Nenstiel, in this position for over 50 years. He was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church for over 50 years, serving as the secretary for the Men's Fellowship Sunday School class for many years. Donald was preceded in death by his wife Clara on Feb. 4, 2006.SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Daryl Nenstiel and his partner in life Roger Bakeman of Atlanta, GA, and Joe Nenstiel and wife Becky of Panhandle; 2 grandchildren: Andy Nenstiel and wife Nancy of Amarillo and Sarah Garrison and husband Christopher of Panhandle; and by 3 great granddaughters: Clara Nenstiel, Catherine Nenstiel, and Ann Marie Garrison.MEMORIALS: Called to Care Ministry (a Christ-centered ministry to the elderly), 1601 Maple, Blanchard, OK 73010.SPECIAL NOTICES: The family would like to extend a special thanks to neighbors, friends, Interim Healthcare, and BSA Hospice for their loving care and support. Visitation will be 6:00-7:30 PM Monday at the funeral home.
