Jeff Taylor, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Miss Thompson was born September 3, 1910 in Memphis, Texas, to Walter A. and Minnie Brumley Thompson. She grew up in Memphis, attending public schools there, and graduating from Memphis High School in 1928. Maidee received her Bachelor's degree from West Texas A & M University in Canyon, and her Master's Degree from T.C.U. in Fort Worth. She began her teaching career in Hall County. She then taught in Hopkins School in Gray County, Lefors IDS, and then Fort Worth ISD. Maidee was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Crusaders Sunday School class and United Methodist Women. She had been a resident of Pampa for the last 20 ? years with her sister, Helen Ruth Mackie. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Larry Thompson.SURVIVORS: 1 sister: Helen Ruth Mackie of the home; 3 nephews: Gary Mackie, Dwight Mackie and Richard Mackie; 1 niece: Suzanne Leggett; 6 great-nephews, 6 great-nieces, and numerous cousins.MEMORIALS: First United Methodist Church, P.O.
