SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, September 15, 2008, at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. Paul Carruth, associate area minister for the Christian Church in the Southwest, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. James was born June 7, 1942 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, and was a 1960 graduate of Pampa High School. Karen worked for AT&T for 30 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a former member of the First Christian Church of Pampa, as well as the Rainbow Girls. SURVIVORS: daughter: Cheryl Putnam and husband Michael of Palmdale, California; son: Ron James and wife Annette of Bossier City, Louisiana; brother: Jim Bonnell and wife Karon of Pampa; sister: Beverley Carruth and husband Dayne of Pampa; 5 grandchildren: Andrew Putnam, Jessica Putnam, Evan Putnam, Karen James and Rusty James.MEMORIALS: to a favorite charity.
