SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Kyle Ohsfeldt, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Thomas was born on Jan. 28, 1928 in Rushville, Nebraska and had been a resident of Pampa since 1949. He married Vesta Forster on March 19, 1950 in Gordon, Nebraska. He was owner and operator of Post Office Texaco Service Station and was a partner in Thomas Automotive for many years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where he served as an elder and Sunday school teacher. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Edith Thomas, 4 brothers, Al, Ray, Lloyd, and Billy Thomas, by a sister, Ruth Grange, and by a great granddaughter, Betthany Caviness.SURVIVORS: Wife: Vesta Thomas of the home; 2 sons: Bill Thomas and wife Sue of Brownwood, and Tim Thomas and wife Debbie of Pampa; 1 daughter: Caroline Smith of Pampa; 1 brother: Danny Thomas of Lynnwood, CA; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
