S. Air Force personnel from Altus AFB in Altus, Oklahoma.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Mathis was born March 31, 1937 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He married Joyce Miller on June 1, 1956 in Pampa. He was employed by Celanese Chemical Co. for 32 years and was a specialist over areas 6 & 7. Jess was a member of First Baptist Church and Everyman's Bible Class. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and was a member of Pampa Masonic Lodge #966 AF & AM. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
