Funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM Monday, August 11, 2008, at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, with Rev. Lupe Mayorga of St. John Catholic Church of Hart, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Rivera was born August 23, 1971 in Woodward, Oklahoma. He attended Pampa schools, graduating from Pampa High School in 1989. After graduation, he was employed with the pipeline industry, traveling throughout the country. He later moved and settled in Amarillo in 1995. Chapo liked to ride his Harley and play on his Thursday night Goldenlight softball teams. He was also a die-hard OU fan, as well as a Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan. Chapo was a stranger to no one and once you were his friend, you were always his friend, loyal to the end.SURVIVORS: Parents: Arcadio and Maria Rivera of Pampa; 1 brother: Arcadio M. Rivera and wife Nan of Amarillo; 1 stepson: Gabriel Alvarez of Perryton; grandmother: Rosa Montes of Pampa; 1 niece: Hannah Rivera of Amarillo; 1 nephew: Adam Rivera of Amarillo; 2 uncles: Manuel Rivera and wife Linda of Woodward, Oklahoma, and Juan Rivera and wife Esther of Dumas; 2 aunts: Amparo Arenivar and husband Armando of Wichita Falls, and Josefa Navarrete of Stratford; a host of cousins, including a special cousin, Destiny Rivera of Weatherford, Oklahoma; and his beloved yellow lab, Switzer.
