SERVICES: 10:00 AM Monday, August 4, 2008, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Jerry McCorkle, evangelist from Lindsey, Oklahoma, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Joiner was born October 30, 1934 in Shattuck, Oklahoma. She married Robert "Bob" Joiner on February 29, 1952 in Clovis, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1996. Marquetta was employed Cabot/Ingersoll Rand, retiring June 1, 1990. She was a member of Altrusa, International, as well as Desk & Derrick Club. Her passion was working in her flower garden. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord and loving and caring for her family.SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Jeannie Denison and husband W. R. of Lefors, and Margaret Hill and husband Rory of Pampa; 3 sons: Monty Joiner and wife Darlis of McLean, Dee Joiner and wife Denise and Warren Joiner and wife Jeri, all of Pampa; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; 1 sister: RoeJean Dixon of Amarillo; 2 brothers: Travis Rush and wife Sue of Masterson, and Jerry Rush and wife Anita of Amarillo. Marquetta was preceded in death by her parents: L. W. and Maggie Rush; a granddaughter: Danielle Joiner; and a great-granddaughter: Mickala Miller.
