SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Fairview Cemetery, with Willy Jaramillo, pastor of Iglesia Bautista Emanuel, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. McKinney was born September 19, 1931 in Polk County, North Carolina. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1949. He married Ruth Northrip on November 9, 1957 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. Jim had been a heavy equipment operator for the City of Pampa, Carter Sand and Gravel, and B & B Solvent for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.SURVIVORS: Wife: Ruth McKinney of the home; 2 daughters: Suzanne Presson and husband Kim and Sandra McKinney, all of Pampa; 2 sons: James I. McKinney and Stephen McKinney and wife Denise, all of Pampa; 1 sister: Mary Peggy McKinney of Polk County, North Carolina; 8 grandchildren: Tiffany and Lori Presson, Kelby, Logan, Aaron, Ashton, Lauren and Colton McKinney; 3 stepgrandchildren: Payton, Norman and Austin Rodgers.
