SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. Kyle Ohsfeldt, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Johnson was born August 6, 1933 in Colgate, Oklahoma. She married George Marshall Johnson on February 10, 1955 in Clayton, New Mexico. He preceded her in death in December of 1987. Marliene retired from Homeland Grocery after many years of service. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Her interests included bowling, reading cookbooks, and buying and selling antiques. She played and coached softball, and also taught swimming lessons through the American Red Cross. She took great pride in taking care of her family and was always willing to put their needs above her own. Marliene's compassion and loving heart are two things about her that will be missed.The family wishes to thank BSA Hospice in Pampa, and Coronado Health Care employees for all their special care and support.SURVIVORS: 3 daughters: Marshella Kersh of Tyler, Jeri Dale Hisel of Sandia, and Debbie Baldridge of Pampa; 1 son: Clayton Johnson of Pampa; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; special friends: Pam and Neal Hinderer of El Reno, Oklahoma. Marliene was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Wanda Winegeart and Helen Warner; and 1 grandson: Marshall Tyler Johnson.MEMORIALS: BSA Hospice, 800 N.
