SERVICES: 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Paul Nachtigall of Highland Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Noel was born February 16, 1933 in Boone County, Missouri. She married Jerry Noel on July 21, 1967. Shortly after moving to Pampa in 1960, she and a lifelong friend operated the restaurant at the Harvester Bowl. Mary worked for Pampa Independent School District in the elementary school cafeterias before opening her own business. In 1977, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of opening Mary's Ceramic Shoppe. After closing the shop to the public, she continued to use her extraordinary talent to create ceramic art pieces which she sold at shows throughout the Southwest. In her more recent years, she volunteered with the Pampa VFW. Her favorite pastimes were fishing, especially at the Noel's property at Lake Fork, Texas. Mary enjoyed painting, bowling and loving her family. She was a beloved wife and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a selfless person who asked for little and gave a lot.SURVIVORS: husband of 41 years: Jerry Noel of the home; daughter: Janet Wheeler and husband Roger of Santa Maria, California; son: Dale Morgan and wife Cathy of Amarillo; stepdaughter: Becky Blair and husband Eddie of Pampa; 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.The family wishes to express their gratitude to those who came to Mary's aid prior to her passing.
