SERVICES: 10:00 AM Thursday, May 29, 2008, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Rusty Rice, associate pastor of Oakwood Baptist Church in New Braunfels, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Jones was born May 22, 1927 in Amarillo and attended schools in Mobeetie, graduating as valedictorian of her class at Mobeetie High School. She married the love of her life, Milford Jones on August 26, 1946 in Panhandle. She was a longtime resident of Pampa where she worked with her husband and son in the service station business. Glorice also worked for ASCS for 12 years as a secretary. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She loved to fish, play dominoes and spend time with her family. Glorice was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.SURVIVORS: her husband of 61 years: Milford Jones of the home; 2 daughters: Sandy Vanderburg and husband Fred of Odessa, and Becky Dalton and husband Greg of Pampa; 1 son: Michael Jones and wife Regina of Pampa; 1 sister: Wauline Reynolds of Pampa; 1 brother: Walden Haynes and wife Joy of Pampa; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Glorice was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lola Haynes; a grandson, Vandy Vanderburg; a sister, Glenna Matheu; and a brother, Dale Haynes.
