SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 22, 2008, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. C. W. Parker, Odyssey Healthcare chaplain, and Lynn Wilson, Mrs. McElroy's nephew, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. McElroy was born January 12, 1918 in Waurika, Oklahoma, moving to Lefors in 1927. She married Perry McElroy in 1938 at Dumas, and he preceded her in death in 1969. Willie moved to Pampa in 1945 to start the Yellow Cab Company. In 1965, she retired and moved to West Monroe, Louisiana, and then returned to Pampa in 1974. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.SURVIVORS: 4 sisters: Yvonna "Wonnie" Smith and Peggy Winegeart, both of Pampa, Fay Wilson of Grove, Oklahoma, and Melba Holland of Conroe; 1 brother: Burly Bigham of Lubbock; numerous nieces and nephews. Willie was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Clarence Bigham in 1978, Tead Bigham in 1989, L. C. Bigham in 1999, and Gerrel Bigham in 2002. MEMORIALS: to a favorite charity.
