SERVICES: 2:00 PM Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Steven Pettit, a Baptist minister and grandson from Cedar Hill, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Hinkley was born February 22, 1907 in Castlewood, South Dakota. She had been a resident of Skellytown from 1936 until 1944, moving to Pampa in 1947. She lived in Pampa from 1947 until 1965, and then lived in Amarillo for 25 years before returning to Pampa in 1998. Jennie married Fred Hinkley on March 10, 1930 in Watertown, South Dakota. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1966. She was a member of the Paramount Baptist Church in Amarillo.SURVIVORS: 3 sons: Robert Hinkley of Garland, James Hinkley and wife Sue of White Deer and Richard Hinkley of Wichita Falls; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Jennie was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Walt and Lloyd Hassebroek.MEMORIALS: St. Ann's Nursing Home, P.O. Box 1179, Panhandle, Texas 79068.
