BURIAL: Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Lane was born August 16, 1913 in Lexington, Oklahoma, to James Douglas and Hattie Bates Brock. She was reared in Heald, Wheeler County, Texas, where she attended school. She married Earl M. Lane on June 15, 1934 in Pampa. They moved to Kellerville to Lefors around 1942 until 1964 when they moved to Skellytown. Following Earl's death in 1987, Sadie made her new home in Dimmitt until moving to the Canton area in 2005 to be near her son, Jerry. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Lefors, Skellytown and Dimmitt. Sadie was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Orin Brock, Ed Brock and Claude Brock; 3 sisters: Nora Clawson, Edna Lou Hood and Cecile Plumlee; and a granddaughter: Kelly Wilemon.SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Jerry Lane and wife Shirley of Wills Point, and Charles Lane of Bullhead City, Arizona; 1 daughter: Judy Niederhauser and husband Greg of Medicine Lake, Montana; 1 sister: Alma Nelson of Dimmitt; 7 grandhildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
