SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Richard Bartel, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Wallin was born January 2, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois. He was reared in Pampa, moving to Bedias, and then returning to Pampa in 2004. He married Sharla Wade on November 27, 1992 in Pampa. Virgil was the owner and operator of Cherokee Electric where he was a master electrician. He was a member of the Gold Prospectors Association.SURVIVORS: Wife: Sharla Wallin of the home; 3 daughters: Melanie Moon and husband Kevin of Amarillo, Brandie Wallin and partner Julie Kinnaman of Pampa, and Desirai Dresselhaus and husband David of Yokohama, Japan; 2 brothers: Steven Wallin and wife Melissa of Pampa, and Dennis Wallin and wife Eunice of Elk City, Oklahoma; 1 sister: Coralee Unruh and husband Jim of Pampa; 4 grandchildren: Andrew Moon and Matthew Moon, both of Amarillo, Malachi Dresselhaus of Yokohama, Japan, and Denim Kinnaman of Pampa; 3 nieces: Holly Dunnsworth of Lawton, Oklahoma, Veronica Villarreal and Chelsea Wallin, both of Pampa. Virgil was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Wallin in 1990, his father, Virgil Wade Wallin, Sr., in 2000, and his brother, Kenneth Wallin in 1990. MEMORIALS: to a favorite charity.
