SERVICES: 2:00 PM Thursday, April 17, 2008, at the First Baptist Church, with Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Shepherd was born December 20, 1936 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and had been a resident of Pampa since 1948. He was a 1954 graduate of Pampa High School and graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. Butch married Marilyn Cox on June 22, 1956 in Borger. He worked as a machinist for Panhandle Industrial and Grayco for about 40 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the First Baptist Church for over 40 years and he taught the Everyman's Bible Class for over 30 years. He loved to play golf at Hidden Hills where he also worked in the pro shop.SURVIVORS: Wife: Marilyn Shepherd of the home; 1 son: Mike Shepherd and wife Christine of Pampa; 3 aunts: Hazel Buckley and Agnes Craig of Pampa, and Lorene Hussmann of Springfield, Missouri; 2 uncles: Bill Warford of Springfield, Missouri and Fred Warford of Muskogee, Oklahoma; 2 cousins: Jerry Davis and Bill Davis, both of Pampa.
