SERVICES: 2:00 PM Monday, April 7, 2008 at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rick Pearson officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Scott was born March 1, 1957 in Pampa where he had been a lifelong resident and attended Pampa High School. He married Melinda Helm, the love of his life, on Aug. 27, 1975 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a mechanical superintendent for Zachary Construction Corp. since 1987. He loved his children and grandchildren and considered Terry Garner as a brother. He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Scott, in 1995, and by a brother, Charlie Scott, in 2002. The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful people at BSA Hospice, especially Denise Joiner.SURVIVORS: Wife: Melinda Scott of the home; 1 son: Brandon Scott of Pampa; 1 daughter: Cassi Shephard and husband Jon of Pampa; his mother: Carrole Scott of Pampa; 6 grandchildren: Bailie, Emily, Abby, and Alli Scott, all of Pampa, and Jaryn and Coen Shephard, both of Pampa; 1 sister and brother in law: Melissa and Terry Garner of Pampa; 1 brother in law: Terry Helm of Pampa; his mother in law: Betty Helm of Pampa; nieces and nephews: Heather Pierce and husband Kyle and their son Gunner of Yukon, OK, Shalyn Johnston and husband Brandon and their son Cameron of Pampa, Teryn Garner of Lubbock, Ashley Helm and Scotty Stinnett both of Amarillo; many aunts, uncles, cousins including his aunt, Dorothy Pearson, of Pampa.
