SERVICES: 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 8, 2008, in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with John Curry, officiating.BURIAL: Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Miss Sims was born on May 15, 1937 in Pampa and was a 1955 graduate of Pampa High School. She attended Colorado Women's College in Denver and received a B. A. degree in music from the University of Oklahoma. She was a longtime Gray County rancher and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Some of Jean's fondest memories were attending horse races in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Ruidoso, New Mexico, and the Kentucky Derby.SURVIVORS: 3 cousins: James H. Morris of Georgetown, Cliff S. Whitmore of Harrison, Arkansas, and Muffet Triggs of Kansas City, Kansas; extended family: Debbie Stockstill of Topeka, Kansas, Lael Stockstill Lasater and Lauren Stockstill, both of Charlotte, North Carolina.
