SERVICES: Vigil services will be at 6:00 PM Friday, March 28, 2008, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, and funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 29, 2008 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, with Rev. Francisco Perez, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Martinez was born July 19, 1932 in Rosebud. He attended schools in Travis. Charlie had been a resident of Pampa since 1964. He owned and operated Charles' Upholstery Shop for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church and was a member of the Curcillita Movement. He was a great and avid pool player. Charlie will be deeply missed by his family, friends and customers, and especially his brother, Freddy. SURVIVORS: 8 daughters: Teresa Rogers and husband Kenneth of Burleson, Silvia Martinez, Helen Bridwell, and Laura Martinez Gray and companion Dusty Helfer, all of Pampa, Martha Martinez of Washington, Dianna Powell and husband Gene of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Anne Martinez of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Maggie Martinez of Fort Worth; 4 sons: Charles Martinez, Jr. and David Martinez and wife Tonya, all of Pampa, Martin Martinez and wife Maricel of Borger, and Paul Martinez of Los Angeles, California; 3 brothers: Mike Martinez and wife Mary, Alfredo Martinez and wife Mary, all of Pampa, and Jose Angel Martinez and wife Dora of Dallas; 1 sister: Tina Ramirez and husband Tom of Rosebud; 34 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; Manuel and Elvira Martinez; 1 son: Patrick Fransisco Martinez; and 2 sisters: Guadalupe Luna and Elvira Castilleja.
