SERVICES: 2:00 PM Monday, March 24, 2008, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Pampa, with Bishop Brian Tenney of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of St. George, Utah, officiating.BURIAL: Smith Family Ranch Cemetery in Roberts County under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Smith was born March 20, 1967 in Pampa, Texas. He attended Miami schools, graduating from Miami High School in 1985. Eric attended New Mexico Institute in Roswell, New Mexico, graduating in 1988. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Spanish, with the goal of teaching. He used his education to teach Spanish in Mexico for a year and a half.SURVIVORS: Mother and Stepfather: Mary and Cecil Martin of Miami; sister: Amanda Tenney and husband Brian of St. George, Utah; brother: Lt. Col. Wayde Smith and wife Rebecca of Shiloh, Illinois; grandmother: Grace Sanford of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; stepbrother: Stephen Martin and wife Susan of Pampa; stepsister: Vicki Ray and husband Jay of Mobeetie; 3 uncles: Doyle Smith and wife Mary of Pampa, Ron Sanford and wife Lana of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, and Lee "Butch" Sanford and wife Leanora of San Diego, CA; 4 nieces and 4 nephews. Eric was preceded in death by his father, John H.
