SERVICES: 2:00 PM Saturday, March 15, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Taylor, pastor, and John Curry, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Harvey was born September 18, 1944 in Pampa and was a 1963 graduate of Pampa High School. He received a B.A. degree in advertising and photography from Texas Tech University in 1968. He married Kay Bryan on May 31, 1968 in Stanton. Lloyd served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War from 1968-1972. He worked in Houston as a photographer and managed Globe Discount Center's photo department. Lloyd returned to Pampa in 1974 where he farmed his family's land until his death. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Weatherly Sunday School Class. He served on the Lovett Library Board, the Pampa Farm Bureau Board, and the Woody Guthrie Center Board. He was a photographer and loved to play the guitar. He was a certified ski instructor and worked as a part-time ski instructor at Ski Apache at Ruidoso, New Mexico. He was a devoted husband and father.SURVIVORS: Wife: Kay Harvey of the home; 1 son: Rankin Harvey and wife Jennifer of Ruidoso, New Mexico; 1 daughter: Angela Overman of Dallas; 2 sisters: Mary Ann McIlvain and husband E. Jay of Victoria and Jeannine Johnson and husband Bobby of Houston; 1 brother: Drew Harvey and wife Paula of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; 4 nieces and 1 nephew.
