SERVICES: 2:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2008, at First Christian Church, with Rev. Barry A. Loving, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Carter was born September 18, 1964 in Pampa where he had been a resident most of his life. He attended Pampa schools, graduating from Pampa High School in 1983. Billy married Carolyn Brown on August 1, 1985 in Pampa. He was a partner with Carter Sand & Gravel for 27 years. He was a member of First Christian Church. Billy loved spending time with his wife and children and enjoyed arrowhead hunting and deer hunting. He loved animals, including his horses and dogs. Billy was the best husband and father. He was honest, fun-loving, hard working and had a great sense of humor.SURVIVORS: Wife: Carolyn Carter of the home; 1 son: Ryan Carter of Pampa; 1 daughter: Kerri Carter of Pampa; parents: Bill and Deana Carter of Pampa; sister: Tammy Pickering of Pampa; brother: David Carter and wife Brenda of Pampa; grandmother: Velora McGee of Pampa; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Buddy and Geneva Hooper of Temple, Oklahoma; sister-in-law: Donna Edwards and husband Ernie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 2 brothers-in-law: David Brown of Temple, Oklahoma, and Bryan Hooper and wife Mary-Ruth of Arlington; 5 nephews: Michael Brown of Temple, Oklahoma, Dustin Forney, Braden Pickering, Trent Carter and Trace Carter, all of Pampa; 4 nieces: Tosha Linder of Pampa, Laurie Edwards and Christina Edwards, both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Melinda McClure of Lawton, Oklahoma; great-nephew: Ayden McClure of Lawton, Oklahoma. Billy was preceded in death by grandparents: W. A. and Janice Carter and Ralph McGee, and 1st cousin, Dean Payne. MEMORIALS: BSA Hospice, 800 N.
