Terry Haralson of Bowie, Texas, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Nellie Ruth Bruner Wray, cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed peacefully into the hands of God and into the arms of her beloved husband, Gene, on February 15, 2008, at Irving, Texas. Nell was born April 21, 1918 in Texola, Oklahoma to Joseph David and Cora Ethel Harris Bruner. Two brothers, Thurman and Gilbert, and a sister, Margarete, also grew up in Texola where their father managed the Williams and Powell Cotton Gin. At the age of nine, Nell was baptized in a nearby river after a revival conversion. She was a 1936 graduate of Texola High School, and she married Marvin Eugene Wray in 1939. The young couple settled in Borger where their only child, Billy Gene Wray, was born. The family moved to Pampa in 1952. Nell was a trusted bookkeeper for Drs. Cox and Alexander, Joe Hawkins Appliances, and M. D. Snider Trucking. After retiring, she traveled with friends throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In 1999, Nell joined her son and his family in Southlake, Texas. "Nana," as she was lovingly called by her grandchildren, treasured every moment with family and friends. "Well done thou good and faithful servant. Enter thou into the joy of the Lord."Matthew 25:21.SURVIVORS: Nell will be remembered by her son, Billy Gene Wray and wife Alice; grandson Mark and wife Amy and their son, Jacoby; granddaughter Dana and her husband Darren and their two children, Kaleb and Bailee, a brother-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, and precious friends.
