SERVICES: 1:00 PM Friday, January 25, 2008, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, with Chaplain Jim Fox of Vista Care Hospice of Amarillo, Rev. Rick Timmons of Central Baptist Church of Canadian, and Rev. Doug Hixson, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Cochran was born December 7, 1917 in Glenmora, Louisiana. She married Lester Cochran on November 13, 1938 in Memphis, Texas. Opal had been a resident of Pampa since 1959. She was a homemaker and a member of Hobart Baptist Church. She was a loving mother.The family would like to express a special thanks to Bob Lindsey with Odyssey Hospice for his care and concern. SURVIVORS: Husband of 69 years: Lester Cochran of the home; 6 sons: Dexter Cochran and wife Betty of White Deer, Mar Cochran and wife Betty, Ted Cochran and wife Lea Ann, Ed Cochran and wife Patty and Kirby Cochran and wife Rita, all of Pampa, and Danny Cochran of the home; 3 daughters: Carolyn Nelson and husband Van of Nacogdoches, LaGwenda Walker and husband Gary and Lesa Greer and husband Jene, all of Pampa; 1 brother: Gene Winegeart and wife Ann of Pampa; 1 sister: Evelyn Parker of Dalhart; 24 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 great-grandchildren, Justin Graves, Tyler Johnson and Bailey Brame.MEMORIALS: Pampa Meals on Wheels, P.O.
