SERVICES: 2:00 PM Saturday, January 19, 2008, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Paul Nachtigall of the Highland Baptist Church, officiating. ENTOMBMENT: Memory Gardens Mausoleum under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Hawkins was born June 6, 1936 in Big Spring. He was reared in Pampa, graduating from Pampa High School in 1955. He married Jan Smithhisler on June 30, 1955 in Pampa. Jim was employed by Harbison-Fischer Manufacturing Company for 40 years in Farmington, New Mexico, Casper, Wyoming, and Odessa, Texas, as district manager. He retired in 1995 and returned to Pampa in 1996. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family.SURVIVORS: Wife: Jan Hawkins of the home; 2 daughters: Debbie Alcaraz of Pampa and Judy Hawkins of the home; 1 sister: Robbie Lynch of Alvord; 1 grandson: Lino Alcaraz of Pampa; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Coleta Bretthauer and Billie Vickery Porterfield.MEMORIALS: Highland Baptist Church Building Fund, 1301 N.
