SERVICES: 10:30 AM Thursday, January 10, 2008, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church, and Rev. Rick Parnell, associate pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery, with military honors by U. S. Army of Ft. Hood, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Quary was born Nov. 22, 1918 in Hopkins County, Texas to Nathanial "Nat" and Minnie Lou Holcomb Quary. He moved with his family to Quanah in 1926 and came to Pampa in 1938 from Quanah. James married Clara Lincycomb on March 31, 1940 in Pampa. He entered the U. S. Army during World War II, serving in the European Theatre of War for 32 months. He received his honorable discharge in 1946 and then began a career with the Pampa Coca-Cola Bottling Plant where he worked for 37 years, retiring in 1983. James was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Lavern Mays.SURVIVORS: Wife of 68 years: Clara Quary of the home; a daughter: Clarice Doss and husband Bob of Pampa; 3 grandchildren: Robert Doss and wife Jeannie of Amarillo, Deborah Youngblood and husband Dave of Seadrift, TX, and Jimmy Doss and wife Jennifer of Woodland Park, CO; 4 great grandchildren: Dustin Youngblood, Daniel Youngblood, John Robert Doss, and Brian Brown; 3 great great grandchildren: Derek Youngblood, Raven Doss, and Dalton Doss.MEMORIALS: Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 513 E. Francis, Pampa, TX 79065.
