Donald Monroe Jones

SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2007, at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. Lynn Hancock, pastor of Briarwood Church, officiating. Full military honors are courtesy of U. S. Army, Ft. Hood, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Jones was born April 13, 1938 in Caney, Oklahoma. He married Gerda Schapek on September 6, 1963. She preceded him in death in June of 1992. Donald was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War, and retiring after 23 years of service. During his time of service, he received the Bronze Star Medal. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1995.SURVIVORS: Daughter: Claudia Frame of Pampa; son: Mark Jones of Vancouver, Washington; 2 sisters: Gloria Gage of Amarillo and Judy Gorman of Perryton; 1 granddaughter.
