George Records, her brother, officiating.BURIAL: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 13, 2007, at the Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Reeder was born September 26, 1923 in Perryton, to Paul A. and Susie Mae McLelland Records. She joined the First Christian Church at an early age. Sudie attended schools in Canadian and Perryton, graduating from Perryton High School in 1941. She married her high school sweetheart, Coast Guardsman Joseph E. Reeder, Jr., on March 2, 1943. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1994.During World War II, Sudie helped the war effort by working on the assembly lines, building bombers in Fort Worth, Texas, and Wichita, Kansas. After the war, she and her growing family lived in Wichita, Kansas, Perryton, Texas, Snyder, Oklahoma, Vinita, Oklahoma, and Mannford, Oklahoma, where her husband was a division lineman on the Frisco Railroad. They had three children: J. E., III, Bobby G., and Carol S. While living in Mannford, she served as the editor of the Lake Keystone News. Sudie enjoyed family genealogy, being a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, gardening, canning, conducting family reunions and visiting kinfolks and old friends and classmates. After rearing her children, she moved to Kerrville, Texas, where her father was in a nursing home. She then moved to Higgins, Texas for a few years until her home roots caused her to move back to Perryton for several years. She then moved to Amarillo, but after several years, the auto traffic got too fast for her taste and she moved for the last time to Pampa in 2002, where she contentedly lived until her death. She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby G. Reeder, her parents, and two sisters, Christeen M. Dendy and Louisa A. Correll.SURVIVORS: 1 son: J. E. Reeder, III and wife Betty of Pampa; 1 daughter: Carol S. Durbin and husband Ted of Mannford, Oklahoma; 1 sister: Colleen Wheeler and husband Joe of Higgins; 3 brothers: Lt. Col. USAF Retired Francis A. Records and wife Margie of Pampa, Paul A. Records, Jr., of Fischer; and Rev. George L. Records and wife Joyce of Ottawa, Kansas; 2 grandchildren: Melanie Durbin and Matthew Durbin, both of Mannford, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
