SERVICES: 2:00 PM Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, and Rev. Rick Parnell, associate pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Robertson was born January 8, 1948 in Pampa, to W. H. "Hood" and Earlene "Ikey" Earp. She married David Robertson on December 29, 1964. They have two children and two grandchildren. Debbie completed all of her schooling in Pampa, graduating from Pampa High School in 1966. She received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree in 1970 from West Texas State University. She began her teaching career at Woodrow Wilson Elementary as a student teacher. She received her Master of Education degree from West Texas State University in August of 1994. During her 30 years of service to Pampa ISD, she taught at Wilson Elementary, Travis Elementary and Pampa Middle School. Debbie began her administrative career as assistant principal at Pampa Middle School, followed by principal of Wilson Elementary, and was currently serving as Executive Director of Special Populations of Pampa ISD. She also taught six years in Dalhart. Debbie dedicated her life to teaching children and helping special needs children have the educational opportunities in which they are entitled.She was a member of the Pampa Classroom Teachers Association and the Texas Council for Administrators of Special Education. She was a former member of the Texas Classroom Teachers Association and Delta Kappa Gamma.Survivors include her husband David Robertson of the home; daughter Shelley Brantley and husband Ken of Amarillo; son Rodney Robertson and wife Tonya of Pampa; mother Earlene "Ikey" Earp of Pampa; granddaughter Emily Robertson of Pampa; grandson Wesley Brantley of Amarillo; brother Wyatt Earp and wife Raynetta of Pampa; sister Jeanna Miller and husband Johnny of Pampa; niece Jamie Winborne, and nephews Jay Wyatt Earp, Jeremy Miller and Joshua Miller. Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Hood Earp; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Lois Robertson.As Debbie was a former Lovett Memorial Library board member, the family would appreciate memorials to Lovett Memorial Library, 111 N. Houston Street, Pampa, Texas 79065.
