SERVICES: Services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 12, 2007 in First Baptist Church of Lefors, with Rev. Chris Webb, pastor, and Dan Rose, chaplain of TDCJ in Palestine, officiating. BURIAL: Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery in Lefors under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Rose was born February 2, 1922 in Knox County, Texas, to Arthur and Ida Hammett. She married John Cecil "Red" Jernigan on November 14, 1936. He passed away February 18, 1969. They had nine children. She was a nurse's aide and worked for Highland General Hospital for many years, retiring in 1973. She has lived in Lefors since 1951 and was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Lefors. She loved her family and loved the Lord. She was a woman of "Great Faith" and always felt well blessed. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Clarice Carey and Joyce Collins, 2 sons, Billy C. Jernigan and Joe W. Jernigan, 4 grandchildren, 1 brother and 2 sisters. SUVIVORS: 3 sons: John Jernigan and wife Marietta of Mass., Keith Jernigan and wife Shirley of Bowers City, and Jim Jernigan of Lefors. 2 daughters: Oweda Nordby and husband Gary of Lake Stevens, Washington, Linda Bridgeman of Pampa. 2 step sons: Dan Rose of Palestine and Jack Rose of Lake Sand Spur, and 35 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.MEMORIALS: Odyssey Hospice, 6900 I-40 West, Suite 150, Amarillo, Texas 79106 or Shepard's Helping Hands.
