Rick Parnell, associate pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Vaughn was born February 10, 1928 in Eliasville, Texas and graduated from Breckenridge High School. Gerald had been a resident of Pampa since 1954. He married Dorothy Murrell on August 5, 1949 in Dumas. He worked for Cabot for 31 years, Celanese for 2 years and Panhandle Producing Company for 13 years. Gerald was a member of the Central Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps from 1946-1949.SURVIVORS: Wife: Dorothy Vaughn of the home; 4 daughters: Jeri Gerald & husband Chris, and Clessie Cates & husband Rick, all of Canyon, Reba Howard & husband Ben of Pampa and Sharla Hare & husband Gus of San Antonio; 1 sister: Marjorie Vaught of Eliasville; 9 grandchildren: Heather Tankersley & husband Brian, and Ryan Cates, all of Canyon, Clessie Moreno & husband Johnny of Dumas, Lyndsey Keeney & husband Jayland of Houston, Tyler Howard & wife Beth of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Colin Howard of Pampa, and Prebble, Paige, and Presley Hare, all of San Antonio; 3 great-grandchildren: Paitlyn and Jaxson Tankersley of Canyon, and Greysen Moreno of Dumas; a great-grandson is due to be born in February, and his name will be Gunner Gerald Moreno.
