SERVICES: At Mrs. Phillips request, her body was donated to Texas Tech Medical School under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. There are no services scheduled at this time. BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Phillips was born July 8, 1930 in Snyder. She had been a resident of White Deer since 1969. She was a welder and truck driver for Skelly Oil, retiring in the early 1980's. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of White Deer. She had a six-year battle with her illness.SURVIVORS: 3 daughters: Sandi Bridgeman & husband Bill of Pampa, Fredi Frank of Wichita Falls, and Lesli Abbott of Wimberley; 1 brother: Duane Smith & wife Thelma of Dumas; 2 sisters: Jessie Smith of White Deer and Elizabeth Martin & husband Darrell of Portales, New Mexico; son-in-law: Don King of Austin; sister-in-law: Mony Smith of Espanola, New Mexico; and brother-in-law: D. C. Mallory, formerly of Sunray; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Toni Blodgett King, a brother, Jason Smith, a sister, Polly Mallory, a sister-in-law, Este Lee Alexander Smith, 1 niece and 2 nephews.
