SERVICES: Vigil services will be at 6:00 PM Tuesday, October 30, 2007, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, and graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. Francisco Perez, pastor of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, officiating. Military rites are courtesy of U. S. Marine Corps, and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Acosta was born October 8, 1953 in Juarez, Mexico and was reared in El Paso, Texas. He married Aida Cabrera on September 11, 1981 in El Paso. He served with the U. S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He worked as a plumber in El Paso and Albuquerque, New Mexico. He had been a resident of Pampa since 2004. Antonio was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, son-in-law and friend. He will be missed by many.SURVIVORS: Wife of 26 years: Aida Acosta of the home; 1 daughter: Veronica Acosta of Pampa; 2 sons: Antonio Josue Acosta and Adan Acosta, both of Pampa; 4 grandchildren: Dalia Acosta, Pablo Lopez, Antonio Lopez and Ezequiel Lopez, all of Pampa; son-in-law: Pablo Lopez of Pampa; nephews: Damian Barragan and Vicente Barragan, both of Pampa. He was preceded in death by his mother, Leonor Acosta Lopez.
