SERVICES: 2:00 PM Monday, October 29, 2007, at Highland Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Nachtigall, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Evans was born April 10, 1923 in Byers. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in World War II during the European Theatre of Operations. He had been a resident of Pampa for more than 50 years, and was an auto salesman for a number of dealerships. Don was a member of the Ford 500 Club two years in a row for outstanding sales, and was most recently employed by Fenton Motors of Pampa. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church, and was a devoted loving man whose life touched many people. SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Greg Evans & wife Tammie of Snyder and Mike Evans & wife Sherri of Pampa; 1 daughter: Leslie Thomas & husband Ray of Perryton; 1 sister: Helen Finch of Reseda, California; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Evans; 3 sisters, Roxie Abston, Fae Dean and Mae Dean; and 1 brother, Calvin Evans.
