SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, Texas, with the Rev. Mark D. Story, rector of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Edmond, OK, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Casey was born May 30, 1927 in Amarillo and graduated from Pampa High School in 1945 as class salutatorian. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Woman's University in Denton in 1949. She married George Lafayette Casey on June 12, 1948 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 1997. Jean taught at Pampa Junior High School from 1949 to 1952 and taught kindergarten at St. Matthew's Episcopal Day School from 1957 to 1962. From 1963 until 1987, Mrs. Casey served as a mathematics teacher at Pampa High School and was mathematics department chair from 1980-1987. She was a longtime, active member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the honorary teacher's organization, and she was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Pampa. Jean moved to Edmond, Oklahoma in January of 1998 where she was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church.SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Michael Sean Casey of Dallas and George Patrick Casey of Edmond, OK; and by a sister, Carol Paxson Chance of Arlington. She was preceded in death by her parents, R. E. and Irene Blackmore Paxson.MEMORIALS: Companion Hospice, 901 S.
