SERVICES: Mass will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church with Rev. Francisco Perez, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. New was born Dec. 14, 1918 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. At the age of 10, he moved to Roxanna which later became Skellytown. He graduated from White Deer High School and graduated from Texas Tech in 1940 with a degree in accounting. He married Eleanor Burns on March 10, 1947 in Pampa. He was employed by Cabot Corp. for over 38 years, retiring in 1984. He enjoyed walking and meeting new people and was an avid golfer. He was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church and was a volunteer for the Texas Prison Ministry at the Jordan Unit.SURVIVORS: Wife: Eleanor New of the home; 2 sons: Thomas New and wife Ramona of Eagle Creek, Oregon, and Tim New and wife Lois Anne of Huntsville; 2 daughters: Carol Murray and husband Daniel of Point Blank, TX, and Nancy Watson and husband Craig of Pampa; a sister: Mary Nelson of Pampa; 2 brothers: Joe New of Tennessee and Paul New of Denver City; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 701 S. Cuyler, Pampa, TX 79065.
