BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Lawson was born January 19, 1917 in Arnett, Oklahoma, to R. W. & Ada Kincade Lane. She came with her parents to the Texas Panhandle in 1921. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1934 and attended West Texas State University. Josephine married Kermit B. Lawson on December 3, 1939. After living in Carson County for several years, they moved to Pampa in 1959. Kermit preceded her in death on January 1, 2001. Mrs. Lawson was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a former member of the Church Women United in Panhandle and Pampa. Through the years she participated in a variety of civic activities in Pampa and Panhandle. SURVIVORS: 2 Daughters: Mary Joanne Lawson Watkins of Plano and Naomi Kay Lawson Carter & husband Richard of Overland Park, Kansas; 3 Brothers: Howard Lane & wife Christina of Panhandle, Don Lane & wife Susanne of Pampa, and Noble Lane & wife Iona of Houston; 1 Grandson: Mark Allen Watkins & wife Deborah of Sachse, Texas; several nephews and a niece.MEMORIALS: First United Methodist Church, P.O.
