Rick Parnell, associate pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Jewett was born August 16, 1934 in Bagwell, Texas, to Charlie & Ollie Jewett. He was the second of three sons and they lived and farmed in Turkey, Texas. Gene married Clara Moldenhauer on August 15, 1953 in Amarillo and they moved to Pampa in October of 1968 where they reared four children. He worked for Cabot/Ingersol Rand, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and was a charter member of the Senior Couples Class. Gene was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, J. C. Jewett.SURVIVORS: Wife: Clara Jewett of the home. 3 Daughters: Darla Jewett, Nancy Mosteller & husband James, and Kaye Eakin and Randy Pryor, all of Pampa. 1 Son: Chuck Jewett & wife Laura of Amarillo. 1 Brother: Wayne Jewett & wife Beverly of Amarillo. 8 Grandchildren: Sarah Hogue & husband Kris, Bethney Mosteller, Jordan Eakin, Ethan Eakin, Amanda Jewett, Wesley Jewett and Mason Hughes.
