SERVICES: There are no services scheduled. Private burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Chapman was born on Jan. 2, 1931 in Lufkin, Texas. He lived in Pampa from 1931 until 1976 and was a 1949 graduate of Pampa High School. He married Norma Jean Hollar in 1972, and she preceded him in death in 1996. In 1976, he moved to Vernon where he farmed and worked as a security guard at the Vernon prison. In 1991, he moved to the Horseshoe Bay community at Marble Falls. While in Pampa, Mr. Chapman worked for Cabot Corp. Carbon Black for 13 years. He was a member of Pampa Masonic Lodge #966, Pampa Shrine Club, and Khiva Shrine Temple of Amarillo. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.SURVIVORS: 1 son: Price Chapman and wife Lori of Abilene; 1 stepson: John Hollar and wife Mindy of London, England; 1 brother: Dean Chapman of Tyler; 2 grandchildren: Taylor Chapman and Emily Chapman, both of Abilene; 2 step grandchildren: Jeremy Hollar and Abigail Hollar, both of London.
