SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church with John Curry officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Tarpley was born on Sept. 10, 1932 in Pampa, graduated from Pampa High School in 1951, and attended the University of Oklahoma. She married Glenn D. (Buz) Tarpley on July 26, 1953 in Pampa, and they had a very special and loving marriage that spanned 54 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She loved small children, and she exemplified that by teaching the 3-year olds Sunday school class for 44 years at First Methodist. Mrs. Tarpley volunteered for many years at Coronado Healthcare Center. She was an excellent cook and had one of the cleanest houses in Pampa.SURVIVORS: Husband: Glenn D. (Buz) Tarpley of the home; a daughter: Carol Ray and husband Chuck of Plano; a son, John Tarpley and wife Shelli of Amarillo; a sister: Anne Campbell of Pampa; by five grandchildren: Leslie and Michael Ray of Plano, and Mason, Matthew, and Max Tarpley, all of Amarillo; and by many nieces and nephews who knew her as "Aunt Jewell." She was preceded in death by her parents, W. C. and Effie Moseley.The family would like to thank her caregivers, Margarita Apodaca and Jowannah Shackelford, for their loving service and tender care.MEMORIALS: BSA Hospice, 800 N.
