Tom Stribling, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Happy, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Rogers was born April 18, 1920 in Hoover. He moved to the Greenlake community when he was two, and lived there until his death. He was a graduate of Pampa High School. He joined the U. S. Army Air Force in 1942 shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He served with the 1682nd Ordinance of the 315th Service Group until his honorable discharge in 1945. He married Frieda May Meek on August 3, 1946 in Garden City, Kansas. He farmed in Roberts County for many years. He was a director with the Roberts County Soil & Water Conservation District and the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service. He was a member of the V.F.W. of Miami. He was a trustee for the Little Red School House for many years. SURVIVORS: Wife: Frieda Rogers of the home. 1 Son: J. T. Rogers, Jr., & wife Tambra of Pampa. 2 Daughters: Carrie Elizabeth Rogers of Houston and Judy Ann Bragg & husband Jim of San Angelo. 3 Grandchildren: John Thomas "Trey" Rogers, III & wife Gina, Hal Ferrell Rogers and Colin Drew Mortimore. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Sue Rogers, and 2 sisters, Frances and Margaret. MEMORIALS: First United Methodist Church, P.O.
