SERVICES: 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ in Pampa, with Don Stone, White Deer Church of Christ minister, and Jerry Dorman, officiating.BURIAL: White Deer Cemetery in White Deer, with Masonic graveside rites courtesy of Top O' Texas Masonic Lodge #1381 AF & AM of Pampa, and Faith Masonic Lodge # 1158 AF & AM of Wichita Falls, and military graveside rites courtesy of the Texas Army National Guard. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Reid was born January 20, 1939 in Wheeler. He married Gwen Brittain on June 16, 1972 in Pampa. He had been a resident of White Deer since 1983. He was a member of the Top O' Texas Masonic Lodge #1381 AF & AM and the Lubbock Scottish Rite Consistory. He was a member of the Pampa-Borger SFOA Chapter for 25 years, and the Pampa SBOA for 25 years. He was a veteran of the Texas National Guard, serving 30 years. He retired from Cabot Corp. in 2000 after 41 years of service as a schedule planner. He was a Church of Christ. He served on the White Deer City Council from 2001-2003. SURVIVORS: Wife: Gwen Reid of the home. 2 Sons: Britt Giles Reid & wife Tiffany of White Deer and Brandon Lee Reid & wife Bree of Amarillo. 2 Grandsons: Nate Reid and Levi Reid. 3 Sisters: Jo Evelyn Johnson of Iowa Park, Winnie Delores Dodge of Naples, and Linda Kay McNelly of Lubbock. 2 special sisters-in-law: Evaleen Anderson and Lynn Neely, both of Amarillo.
