Jim Powell, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Keel was born February 25, 1934 in Hot Springs, New Mexico. She was a graduate of Hot Springs High School in the top ten percent of her class. She participated in all sports and was a cheerleader, majorette and twirler. She married Joe Merle Keel on May 24, 1952 in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. She was a Rainbow Worthy Advisor, accomplished horsewoman, barrel racer and rodeo queen court member. She participated in the celebration of the township name change from Hot Springs to Truth or Consequences. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Truth or Consequences, and was currently a member of the Nocona Hills Non Denominational Church in Nocona. She was an artist and enjoyed oil painting, she made floral arrangements, enjoyed crafts, sewing, RV travel and outdoor activities.SURVIVORS: Husband: Joe M. Keel of the home. 1 Son: Bill Keel & wife Carolyn Lavelle of Fritch. 1 Daughter: Kathy Lynn Keel Anzaldua & husband Raul of Bastrop. 2 Grandsons: Jake Trevor Keel & wife Dana of Fritch, and Chad Anzaldua of New Braunfels. 3 Granddaughters: Krista Michelle Keel Keys & husband Sandy of Borger, Angelia L. Anzaldua Iselt & husband Kelly of Giddens, and Chasity Anzaldua Fudella & husband Jeremy of Lansing, Michigan. 5 Great-Grandchildren: Sabastian Trevor Keel and Shay Lee Keel, both of Fritch, Brayden Jameson Keys of Borger, Kyler Iselt of Giddens, and Samantha Fudella of Lansing, Michigan. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Joleen Keel and Debra Aline Keel, both on March 17, 1973; her father William Thomas Norton on May 18, 1994; her mother Zelma Florence Dalton Norton on February 11, 1995; and her brother, Billy Norton on April 5, 2004.
