SERVICES: Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Michael Erickson of Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Winborn was born March 19, 1918 in Ganado, Texas to Coyle and Katie Nesbit Winborn. He was the fourth of four children, all of whom have preceded him in death. He married Rosemond Viereck on May 25, 1940 in Yorktown, Texas. She preceded him in death on February 26, 1998. Mr. Winborn served in the US Navy during WWII. He worked in south Texas for Sun Oil and transferred to Pampa in 1950 where he was a lease operator for the duration of his 43 years with Sun Oil. He owned and operated Cock O Walk Drive In Restaurant from 1963 to 1975. He loved to play golf. He worked hard all of his life and loved his family very much. SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: Coyle Winborn and wife Sue of Horseshoe Bay, Texas and Craig Winborn and wife Donna of Midland, Texas. 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, and long time companion Evelyn Birch of Pampa.MEMORIALS: Odyssey Healthcare, 6900 I-40 West, Suite 150, Amarillo, Texas 79106, or a favorite charity.
