SERVICES: 2:00 PM Monday, July 2, 2007, at Central Baptist Church, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, and Rev. Rick Parnell, associate pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Hobbs was born February 22, 1917 in Burkburnett where he attended school. He married Edith Norman on November 5, 1945 in Burkburnett. She preceded him in death on February 18, 2007. He came to Pampa with FWA Drilling Company in 1952. He worked for Service Drilling from 1966, until retiring in 1986 as their drilling superintendent. After his retirement, he enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Army.SURVIVORS: 1 Son: Dan Hobbs & wife Zonell of Pampa. 2 Granddaughters: Susan Hobbs of Amarillo and Cindy Hobbs of Pampa. 3 Sisters: Frances Smith of Conroe, LaHoma Dixon of Borger, and Callie Mae Bryan of Burkburnett. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, E. W. Hobbs and Robert Lynn Hobbs; and 1 sister, Ozell McClaskey.MEMORIALS: Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 513 E.
