She was reared in Pampa and attended Pampa schools. She lived in Kermit, Texas for 12 years, and Carlsbad, New Mexico from 1979 until 1992 when she then returned to Pampa. She was a member of the Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ. She was a cook. She was past president of the Pam Apartments Residents Association and she led the apartment residents in arts and crafts.SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: Bill Trekell of Brownwood, and David Trekell of Pampa. 2 Sisters: Leta Cook of Saratoga, California and Judy Wood of Pampa. 1 Brother: Jimmy Wood of Pampa. 5 Grandchildren. Special caregivers: Lou Lambright and her aunt, Vardene Searl.
