SERVICES: 2:00 PM Saturday, June 9, 2007, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rodney Tedford, minister of the Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Trekell was born January 29, 1938 in Moore County, Texas. She was reared in Pampa and attended Pampa schools. She lived in Kermit, Texas for 12 years, and Carlsbad, New Mexico from 1979 until 1992 when she then returned to Pampa. She was a member of the Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ. She was a cook. She was past president of the Pam Apartments Residents Association and she led the apartment residents in arts and crafts.SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: Bill Trekell of Brownwood, and David Trekell of Pampa. 2 Sisters: Leta Cook of Saratoga, California and Judy Wood of Pampa. 1 Brother: Jimmy Wood of Pampa. 5 Grandchildren. Special caregivers: Lou Lambright and her aunt, Vardene Searl. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marshall Trekell in 1987, a sister Alice Guthrie, and 3 brothers, Jerry Lane, Ernest Lane and Wayne Lane.MEMORIALS: Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, 1342 Mary Ellen, Pampa, Texas 79065.
