SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Max Brown, chaplain of BSA Hospice, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Pairsh was born April 2, 1920 in Celeste, Texas. He moved to Pampa as a child where he attended Pampa schools and was an outstanding football player. He went on to college at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma and was named All-Conference Guard two years in a row. He also attended Centenary University at Shreveport, Louisiana on a football scholarship. He married Dorothy Gibson on July 18, 1941 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Mr. Pairsh enlisted in the U. S. Navy in Lubbock during World War II, serving in the South Pacific where he was awarded three Bronze Stars and two Silver Stars. He retired from Celanese on March 31, 1980 after 25 years of service. He then went to work for Pairsh Welding for 15 years. He was a horseman, craftsman, family man, and a hero to his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, on Sept. 10, 1999.SURVIVORS: Son: Preston Pairsh and wife Dianne of Pampa; Daughter: Connie Allen of Pampa; Sister: Fern Roberts and husband Hilburn of Eastland; 2 grandsons: Dakota Pairsh and wife Sandra of Lefors and Monty Bennett and wife Amber of Amarillo; 3 granddaughters: Brandie Taylor and husband Jeff of Lubbock, Bobbie Nunn of Lefors, and Karry Cowan and husband Heath of Pampa; and 11 great grandchildren.MEMORIALS: BSA Hospice, P.
