SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. John Westman, pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Coe was born July 19, 1926 in Stamford. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving with the infantry in the Pacific during World War II. He was in the headquarters battery of the 7th division, receiving the Victory, Good Conduct, and Pacific Service medals. He married May Bell McCafferty on February 6, 1948 in Pampa. She preceded him in death in 2003. He was a charter member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where he helped with the youth ministry. He worked at the Motor Inn Auto Supply from 1948 until 1975 when he opened Coe's Machine Shop. He sold his business and retired in 1997. He loved to fish and enjoyed the outdoors.SURVIVORS: 1 Son: Kevin Coe & wife Tonia of Los Alamos, New Mexico. 1 Daughter: Heather Murphy & husband Ken of Dallas. Mother: Beulah Williams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 1 Sister: Joy Thompson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 1 Brother: Edward "Dempsey" Coe & wife Janette of Franklin, Louisiana, and a special companion, his dog "Buddy".
