John Wagoner, a retired United Methodist minister, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Browning was born February 11, 1923 in Smith County, Texas. He had been a resident of the Borger and Pampa area since 1954, and had lived at the Craig Methodist Retirement Center in the Bluebonnet Alzheimer's wing since 2005. He married Viola Shipman on May 31, 1951 in New Mexico. She preceded him in death on February 3, 1999. He worked in the oilfield as a pulling unit operator and pusher for well service companies until his retirement. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Force, serving during World War II.SURVIVORS: 3 Daughters: Sandra McClellan & husband Jimmy of Fritch; Carla Ford & husband Tony of Borger; and Netta Adams & husband Charlie of Amarillo. 4 Sisters: Jerrie Bradstreet of Rogers, Arkansas; June Prater of Gilmer; Sue Farmer of Chandler; and Jackie Norris of Lorenzo. 3 Brothers: Charles Browning of Tyler; Max Browning of Bethany, Louisiana; and Jimmy Donald Browning of Haskell. 9 Grandchildren: Kendra Ford Sherwood & husband Shannon and Jessica Ford Eakins & husband Rocky, all of Borger; Chris Ford & wife Amanda and Damon McClellan, all of Fritch; Wendy Jenkins Tjepkes & husband Del of Hudson, Iowa; George Jenkins & wife Jessica, Chad Adams, and Charlie Ann Stone & husband Brandon, all of Amarillo; and Heather McClellan Castillo & husband Edward of Arlington. 15 Great-Grandchildren: Cody Sherwood, Taylor Sherwood, Morgan Ford, Emma Heidelberg and Seth Eakins, all of Borger; Alanna Ford and Zayden Ford, both of Fritch; Jacob Jenkins, Alyssa Jenkins, Alexis Jenkins and Haley Stone, all of Amarillo; Abby Tjepkes, Hannah Tjepkes, and Linsey Tjepkes, all of Hudson, Iowa; and Vince Castillo of Arlington. 1 Great-Great-Grandchild: Laigan Deaver of Stinnett.
