Aaron Laverty, pastor of the Gageby Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Mobeetie Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa, Texas.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Mixon was born Dec. 11, 1912 in Johnson County, Oklahoma. He married Dorothy Golleher on Dec. 21, 1935 in Canadian. She preceded him in death on Nov. 3, 2003. He moved to Mobeetie, Texas in 1928, then to Fritch, Texas in 1973, to Happy, Texas in 1987, and to Lovington, New Mexico in 2000. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mobeetie and was past master of both the Mobeetie and Fritch Masonic Lodges.SURVIVORS: Daughter: Omega Leavitt and husband Loyd of Happy; son: Fred Mixon and wife Linda of Lovington, NM; sister: Fannie Joe Gales of Oklahoma City; 2 granddaughters: Darla Davis and husband Tracey of Happy and Tammie Ohaver and husband Aaron of Hobbs; 3 grandsons: Randy Leavitt and wife Lynn of Nazareth, Micheal Mixon of Lovington, and Ricky Leavitt of Happy; and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, John Henry Mixon, his parents, Mary Belle and John Mixon, by 2 brothers, Sam Mixon and Jess Mixon, by 3 sisters, Naomi Bonds Allen, Irene Webb, and Cynthia Worthington; and by a great grandson, Randall James Leavitt, Jr.MEMORIALS: Community Relief Fund, c/o First Baptist Church of Mobeetie, 206 W. 2nd, Mobeetie, Texas 79061.
